By Akindman,

Now lots of folks out there never heard of such a thing and probably thinking we are nuts to have Ice Cream for Breakfast.

Well I feel the same about those folks who like cold pizza for breakfast.  Well here is an image that combines both.

According to the foremost authority on International Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, there are only three rules for celebrating this most joyous holiday:
1. Eat ice cream
2. For breakfast
3. On the first Saturday in February
And then tell other people. If your friends refuse to partake, you might want to rethink that friendship.

The holiday was started in the 1960s in Rochester, New York by Florence Rappaport, who let her kids eat ice cream for breakfast on the first Saturday of February to make winter more bearable for them. Now this custom is done all over the world, from Minnesota to Israel to Australia.

This is the Sundae - Yum!
Pancake Breakfast Ice Cream Sundae (http://www.instructables.com/id/Pancake-Breakfast-Ice-Cream-Sundae/#step1)

With this recipe I believe I have successfully added bacon to Ice cream (technically frozen custard).
Rich eggy custard, maple glazed bacon, and mini pancakes bring to mind a full Sunday breakfast.
Strange and delicious, this desert must be experienced!

Maple Glazed Bacon
1   Slab thick cut bacon
4   tbs Brown Sugar
2   tbs pure maple syrup
you will also need 1-2 bakers rack with legs

Mini Pancakes:
Pancake mix - boxed is fine
Butter

Frozen Custard:
1 1/2 Cups whole milk
1 1/2 Cups heavy cream
3/4    Cup sugar
1       Whole vanilla bean
3        large egg yolks
2        large eggs

Toppings:
Whip cream
1/2 cup real maple syrup
Chopped pecans

Looks so good!
