First Impressions!!

Receptionists are the person at the front desk, information desk, concierge, telephone operators, maitre d', and many others who are the first to greet and welcome customers, clients and the public to the company. Their skills are of critical importance in creating and maintaining the image and capabilities that the company has represented in their sales and advertising efforts.

Today in National Receptionist Day (the second Wednesday in May) and a good day to say “thank you” for a job well done!  We have all been exposed to the wide range of receptionist – the good, the bad and the ugly and have left a long lasting impression on us and our thoughts about that organization.

I’m a firm believer that the Marketing Department should play a key role in the hiring, training and development of these important staff members.
